Welcome, my name is DataBerg,
Thanks for tuning in, below a short story about me and why I run this website;
*I am not always able to shut down my emotional chip when I have to protect myself, sometimes it is difficult to hit the switch, that’s all.
*Humans are much more then their deepest emotions!
One constant in my life is that I like to share ideas about human potential and evolution. The whole thing about human potential just tickles me everyday when I wake up, knowing that so many of us have so much to gain in terms of joy, happiness and actualisation. On my site you can find all my conclusions and views on what I see as useful (or just entertaining) to share with you. Keep in mind that it is just a perspective and shouldn’t be seen as ultimate truth. I am the first who will say ‘take what you need and forget the rest’. I encourage people to follow their own perspectives and ideas, since I believe this way we can grow the most in our own orchestrated ways. “all is choice”, and by using this principle you can take full responsibility and ownership of your life.
“Absorb what is useful, discard what is useless and add what is specifically your own” – Bruce Lee
One of my earliest dreams I had when I was a child is that I would uplift and support the people around me. This is something I am currently doing by writing inspirational short stories on this website.
It are these dreams during our childhood that form the building blocks of our future, the raw material of our life, the seeds of a mighty oak which we all are. Just observe the artists, the inventors, the painters, the poets, the architects, the philosophers of our ancestors or just look at an awesome granddad or magnificent gardener. They all share the same underlying principle, that of being the best they can be.
During my teens, I have on necessary occasions been an excellent rebel against the educational system in The Netherlands. Government funded schooling just isn’t my kind of thing and the whole experience felt extremely imprisoned and uncomfortable. I jumped out of business school after I have seen the horror and beauty of China during my intern ships and travels. From cancerous red rivers, to highly aggressive forms of capitalism, to working a few weeks for the ‘new’ Mao Zedong in Hang Zhou, my adventures were mind bobbling and eye opening for how quickly parts of this world are moving into destruction.
My world view was completely shaken and it was impossible for me to return to my old lifestyle after knowing this. I decided to use my talents and gifts in building an online institute that might help people to be more whole, strong and to learn not only to survive, but also to thrive in their lives. Not just enduring the day, and seeing it through, but to really partake, show valor and experience all of it, the good and the bad, and doing the simple things that makes you happy.
This has been a daily occupation for me and a full time commitment of which I have enjoyed every single step of the journey so far, with hopefully many to come!
Besides my passions for bodywork, holistic health, personal development, philosophy, writing, teaching and travelling, I hope that my gifts will be recognized and used by others. I consider myself as a monk on acid and alkaline. I can spend days doing nothing but playing in my own mind, counting leaves in a tree and observing a candle, or I can switch my whole lifestyle in a matter of minutes. There is a saying that spontaneity and enthusiasm are good signs to embark on fresh adventures! Therefore, my need for adventure, freedom and expansion is something I preciously honor.
I am endlessly fascinated in the mechanics of the body, mind and soul and eager to share all my discoveries with you by sharing my craft.
I hope you enjoy it and that you can reap the benefit of my labor of love!
Thanks for reading my message,
SOL provides scripted and scattered insights and broken tools for every day challenges in the quest for strength, wholeness and prosperity.
It does give the secret sauce away on occasion or for those who have the willingness to understand.
It provides more clarity and useful tools if you give me;
1. A sack of organic potatoes, handmade bread, fine liquor, fine;cut tobacco, tea leaves, fair trade coffee or mountain water.
2. Surthrival equipment (open for testing)
3. Precious stones, unique cacti, metals, art or crystal chess board (certain crypto currencies as well)
4. A piece of fertile land or an island.
5. Special tokens…
Six. Lara Croft?
7. An oldtimer.
8. A maze that puzzles me.
9. An empty cup
10. To be humbled.
In the content I create, I do my best to refer to the sources I have used and give credits to if I am aware that I am simply rehearsing the thoughts of another being. After all, I am no one man island, and it is always a co-creation, even if the birds inspired me to write a poem, it still is a co-creation. Heck, what if my inspiration comes from my alien brother?
Either way, please feel free to correct me if I have missed or forgotten this in some articles and dishonored someones originality.
If not, then the source of creativity is of my own, and, therefore, we have the concept of ownership in traditional economics. All though, I find it to be complex to take ownership, since what does it matter if its all ephemeral and tackable?
I try to be a living example of creating a living out of the things I feel passionate about, and to produce more then I consume. I think this is an economic formula for wealth and prosperity in a world.
Despite the economic airy fairy idealism described above, we live in (gr)needy times of cognitive capitalism, where ideas, thoughts and creative outlets are easily shared, stolen and remixed.
The cumulative nature of the internet has its pro’s and con’s. I think it is beneficial for the greater good of humanity, the planet and beyond that everybody can access creative outlets and enjoy each others life work, but it also means the death of the creative individual if he or she isn’t rewarded appropriately for the hard work that can go into the creative process.
I know I cannot prevent content theft or hackers in this time and age, but I can say that if you steal my originality, you will steal your own, and have to settle for mediocrity, and be a mini-me. Which equals suffering. HAH, Wanna be trap!
And if you hack me, you only hack my memorandums, not the source, so enjoy my memories instead of your own.
I might be lawless in that sense, but the truth is harsh in that way.
Trust me, it is already hard enough to be yourself in this world, let alone to be someone else!
So yeah, learn to channel your creative energies, and bring your own version of love, truth and beauty in this world! Or wickedness, the choice is always yours…
This is my invitation,
And blame messenger if you make a mess out of it.
