Lets change our collective myth
Mythology is not something to take lightly. Without the ability to read symbols and metaphors, one easily misses the deeper meaning of life. Myths can tell us a lot of our subconsciousness processes, as an individual and collective entity. Abstract storytelling like poetry or mythology is an emotional method of expressing our intellectual understanding. Our emotions are intertwined with chaotic subconsciousness processes that directly connects itself to the in depth psychology of our reality. These myths are, therefore, very close to the source of truth and relate to us on a universal and intimate level. A beautiful symbolic meaning that reflects our emotions as a culture and individual. Today’s cinema is a excellent medium to translate these deeper meanings of our mythology into an entertain able movie.
Myths are a really important building block for a successful civilisation. Without a consensus in our collective myth we create war and separation. People that don’t have the ability to read symbols easily create god wars because of the lack of mutual understanding. A consensus of universal rules and guidelines is necessary to create balance in the complexity of religions. The danger of variety in nature is the potential loss of the collective myth and interconnectedness. When we forget our origin, we act out of a separated consciousness.
But there is choice. We can reprogram our collective grid by making choices in our attitude. The present moment is the initiatory catalyst for the next moment. These moment to moment choices we make are the fabric of our reality. It is quite a responsibility to realize our powers. It makes us able to respond. A system like today’s makes us lazy in our thinking and attitude. The technological comfort we have build is creating an illusionary distance from our roots.
However, technology can be used in reprogramming our collective myths. The information age is at a high and we have all the information within a eye-blink. But this is not enough. Spiritual practice occurs during life experience, in making decisions and owning the consequences. This cannot be done by watching movies or reading blogs like this. This has to be done in a personal commitment to transmute information into wisdom by playing life.
Play life and use the collective myth as a guideline or roadmap. Many movies, articles and blogs can be used as encouragement and inspiration.
It is the very same purpose of these blogs;)
