Being sensitive in a rational world
Highly sensitive people have major challenges in today’s rapidly changing world. Not only do they perceive the world completely different then those that are only using their rational mind to survive, but they are also easily influenced by their environment.These people often have more difficulties maintaining a healthy body and mind if they do not know how to manage themselves. My own high sensitivity has forced me to live a holistic lifestyle! otherwise, I can not achieve my maximum potential as a human being. This journey on self-healing (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual) has taught me how to apply simple disciplines and lifestyle habits that greatly enhanced my well-being and personal development. This has come to an extend of which I want to share my experience and knowledge with others so that they can also heal themselves in a polluted world. My role as healer, teacher and creator wants to share my experience with others so that they can become educated in how to live a holistic lifestyle. Holistic means that you are whole and that you use your full potential in whatever you set out to do. High ambitions need high vital resources = holistic health.
We suffer from many different areas that are out of balance:
- Poor movement
- Poor food choices
- Poor rest quality
- Chemicals in water, ground and air
- Over stimulus of electronic devices
- Environmental imprints that are destructive
- Plastic pollution
- Dealing with destructive people
Allowing the above to influence you will cause physical, mental, emotional and spiritual imbalances. Being highly sensitive is a blessing in disguise because it will make you AWARE of everything that is stated above. Change comes with being aware of the things you want to change first! This is where the rational mind can only understand so much, where the more well-rounded and irrational or feeling intelligence can perceive all these things more easily without a full-length study on the consequences of heavy metal water. Using your senses to the fullest will give you all the answers you need. Trust the language of your body too when you want to judge your lifestyle habits. Full awareness does not only come through science, but comes by a combination of opposites: rational-irrational, science-arts, men-women, dark-light, Yin-Yang, black-white.
Most people are not even aware of their own imbalances because of their alienation from nature. Detaching yourself from all of your sensible capacities can leave you with confusion of your state of health. When they do become aware, it is usually because they have stretched their boundaries to far and got ill. Sickness and disease is there for you to make you aware so that you can make better lifestyle choices! Turning to short term solutions like anti-depressive drugs and painkillers will only cause more pain on the long-term until you start to make better lifestyle choices.
I hope to inspire people to Be sensitive enough to acknowledge when your mind, body or soul needs the nourishment it deserves in order to reach your full potential.
